This car seat cooling pad works pretty well for cooling. Even without putting it in the fridge my toddler said it's cold. I thought it would be uncomfortable to sit on as it's a more rigid plastic feel to them almost like an ice pack feel to it, but no complaints from the little one! It also fits nicely with our Diono.However, we made the mistake of leaving it in the car on a hot day and toddler was definitely complaining it was too hot. So I would say this is not to be used as a car seat pad which makes it annoying because if you go out and plan to use it later you might have to take it with you to prevent it from getting hot.For us, I see a limited use because if I'm leaving from home, our car is not hot. If I were to use it when we go out, then we have to carry this heavy thing around with us all day to use it later. So perhaps if you don't have a garage at home or you don't mind carrying the pad around when you're out then it works very well!

I could give more stars. And I'm sure this product may be a better fit for someone else or used in a different type of car seat. But It did not change anything for my child, only because he does naturally stay hot a lot and while using this cooling pad my son sweated even more than he did before we used it. I don't discourage anyone else from trying it. It could have a different effect.

I used this constantly in my stroller over the summer. It kept my baby cool and I didn't have to worry about overheating. It's easy to throw in the fridge.

You refrigerate this item before using it in a childΓ’β¬β’s car seat. ItΓ’β¬β’s only good for short trips. I found another use for it placing it on top of items in a cooler. It holds the cold in. Just saying.
