The guitar is great. Just got it a week before Christmas for my son. Looks great, no flaws, sounds awesome. The only problem is the gigbag carrying case is way too small. It seems everyone complains about this but they keep sending the small size bags. Just wondering if the acoustic is a normal size and the gig bag was made for the smaller body size guitar? I don’t have another acoustic to compare it to. I’ll just purchase a hardshell case soon. I give it 5 star for the guitar craftsmanship quality, sound, and ease of playing. Still brand new, let’s see how it holds up over time.

My husband bought this set for me for Christmas. I have been wanting to teach myself how to play. I did a lot of research before buying this one. I couldn't have bought a better 1st guitar! I'm very happy with this. Sounds great and it is a joy to play--it's also very pretty. I took it to a music store just to have them check it out. The man was really impressed at the quality of the hard guitar case. He was surprised that such a nice case came with the set. I probably won't ever get rid of this guitar. I would definitely buy this again because of the reasonable cost for a great sounding, beautiful guitar! Great seller also. They sent it extremely quick!

I have been playing guitar off and on for over 20 years and this guitar is really, really nice for the price. It sounds great, it plays great, and the look is beautiful, the guitar alone is 5 stars for the price. A great and unexpected value. It looks and sounds fantastic for an all laminate guitar. The accessories are not that great though. The bag zipper broke the first day and the tuner battery died after just a few tunings. That being said, the guitar is worth the price without the accessories so I wish I didn’t t have to include them in the review. Also I want to note that there are two versions with different price points based on the material of the fretboard, this guitar which is cheaper , has a manufactured wood fretboard instead of the more expensive all wood. It doesn’t matter to me but it isn’t specified in the description in case that matters to someone else

Great guitar. It's very beautiful in-person. Came with a strap and a bottom strap button, but didn't come with a button for the top, or a loose one to put on myself, I'll have to use the shoestring method for now because I often play standing up. Make sure you're aware that the wood grain pattern they send you random. I was lucky and got an awesome one. I knew beforehand but wanted to make it clear. The value for money is well worth it.

Loved the guitar! But when I received it there was no Fragile signs on the box. There was no packing or bubble wrap in the box. It moved in side when I picked it up. When I pulled out the guitar the Neck Was cracked. The Gig bag was missing as well. I returned the guitar and got my money back. I purchased one locally that was ordered straight from the Oscar Schmidt company. I would not recommend buying this guitar from here. Buy from a dealer. It is a great guitar!

The first one that was sent was heavily damaged structurally, but I couldn't tell exactly how it happened, it may have been in that condition from the factory. While the exchange was simple and easy, the exchange unit I received was either a floor demo or a customer return. It had finish damage(all cosmetic, but alot of scratches and scrapes) and the included clip-on tuner was broken into pieces by someone, and can't be repaired. That part should tell you a lot about how much I like the guitar.I would have sent the not-new one back, but I made the mistake of tuning it up and playing it for a bit before I did. It sounds amazing to me(a very personal assessment, I know,) and plays great(again, very personal.)I've played more expensive acoustic(like 2x or 3x the price) guitars and like this modest budget guitar much better as far as out of the box action, and out of the box tone.So despite the fact that it bothers me that I paid for a "new" instrument and got...well, not that, I'm afraid to send it back because I might not like the playability and tone of the next one so much.To be clear, if this had been listed as "used," with about $30 off due to condition, I would have been super happy with the guitar and the transaction. As it is, I'm still super happy with the guitar itself, I just feel like "new" wasn't an accurate condition description.I also have a Jasmine acoustic, which cost slightly more than half the price of this oscar schmidt. The Jasmine is really nice for the price, but of the two, I like this Oscar Schmidt better, mostly because out of the box, mine had nice(near perfect for me) string action that was a bit lower than the Jasmine(I don't know if this is always the case, luck of the draw maybe?) and the tone sounds more pleasing to me(again luck of the draw?) The Jasmine is another guitar that I have bought that I thought played above it's price. It's not a surprise when 3000 guitar plays and sounds good, but these two budget models have been surprising in the best ways.

Great guitar overall… small chip on base of guitar and the bag was too small to fit the guitar length.

Lovely guitar with nice sustain and a beautiful finish. I have not plugged it in yet. There was a bit of buzzing on the E string (6th) for the first few days. I let it sit with the box open for a few days before tuning it up because of the difference in the temperatures between the room and the box and guitar. (It was hot outside.) So, doing so, I tuned it up little by little. The buzzing has really cut back. If need be, I would only have to file one fret below that string somewhere near the 12th or 14th fret, slightly. But, the quality seems to keep improving day by day. I think its' a great buy for the money spent. The quality of the guitar is better than I thought it would be, but, then it is a Washburn.

Arrived early and very well packaged.Saw reviews with complaints about gig bag.Mine was the perfect size and arrived with the guitar. Obviously they listened to the many complaints and rectified the issue. It isn’t exactly a mini. Same size as my full sized guitar but it does have a smaller neck which is what I was looking for.Great value for the money. Great tone and a good feel to it when playing.I love it and would highly recommend it!

Good guitar but case is too small and neither Amazon nor the merchant will change it or make a partial refund. It is a normal size guital although it is advertized as a mini guitar. The small case would probably be OK with a mini.

It has a fairly nice tone. Just change the strings to get a better sound. A slight buzz on high E but nothing I can't fix. I like it for my everyday guitar. I liked my Oscar Schmit ukelele so this is why I tried the guitar. No regrets (so far).

* Update: Austin Bazaar (the seller) was not able to solve the issue with the missing gig bag. I don’t know if there is something fishy about it but most of the reviews I read here in Amazon had the same issue.I got this guitar as a Christmas gift from my wife and it really sounds great for a beginner guitar. You won’t actually notice the difference with a full acoustic guitar. The only issue I have is the gig bag that should have been included on the package. I could give 5 stars if that can be resolved.

So Far Beautiful Gtar, Made in Indonesia. :) The neck is very straight. The action is very good about 1.5 millimeters. Very comfortable to play. The bag was to small he refunded me $20.
