This is plastic and has a plastic hinge that promises to break over time. If you're just using it to cover your gimbal while you're traveling then it's not a bad idea, but you won't want to use this for daily running around with your pocket. It's too thin, too cheap and you have to attach it perfectly to make it snap shut. I will continue to use the protective case it came with for storage and look for something a little more sturdy for daily use.

This is exactly what I was looking for! The case that the DJI comes with is always so difficult for me to work with when I'm out filming! The camera piece always turns around or I have to fight it a little bit, plus it can definitely be bulky. I have a small purse that can fit the camera easily but I wanted to protect the screen as well as the camera, so this works out perfectly! The case is sleek and feels durable so that's nice. It doesn't feel like it's going to fall off at all because you have to click it into place on both sides, so it feels like it's not going ANYWHERE! Also, to release it, just press on the sides of the back cover and it opens up. You don't need much force but I'm sure it's not easily opened by random things touching it. Highly recommend this case!
