Ospry always produces quality packs, this ski backpack has many great features that make it the perfect resort pack. It’s a nice size for day hikes or day skiing. Has specific sections for skins and or crampons. The latches are oversized so they can be opened and closed with ski gloves on. The ski leash and loops make carrying skis easy

I've been a huge fan of Osprey for a long time. Their products are always well thought out and impeccably made. They offer a lifetime warranty and it isn't just marketing, their products back it up.This is a great pack specifically designed for snow. I really like the snow-shedding design and how there aren't any big pockets or flaps that will pick up snow even in the event of a powder wipeout. The removable back panel is an interesting innovation of this pack which is a nice way to convert it from a more structured pack if you want to carry some weight and a more flexible pack for lighter travel. I think in most cases I'll be leaving the panel behind as I think it is more comfortable for a smaller 18-liter pack. The vest strap design is really nice. I like how it really hugs the pack close to you. The 18-liter pack provides easier access to the inside with zippers that are accessible from the outside which makes it handy for grabbing things out on the mountain.Overall, I'm very happy with the "Osprey Firn 18L Ski and Snowboard Backpack, Sandy Grey/Tequila Orange, Medium/Large".

I got this because I wanted a smaller multi-purpose pack for climbing and biking as well as winter sports. As a compromise bag, it isn't perfect for all sports but can be used comfortably.Features:*made from recycled nylon*perfect stitching throughout*easy to grip zipper tabs*removable plastic insert*internal pole sleeves in inside compartment*mesh zippered pocket in outer compartment*zippered pocket on shoulder strap*large open pocket on shoulder strap*small open pocket over zippered pocket on shoulder strap.*full width side pocket at bottom*adjustable chest strap, waist strap (from 2 sides), and shoulder cinch straps.*lots of loops and places to tie.*The white version has an orange backing for visibility if you need to be seen. For climbing:*It fits a full 11mm 45m climbing rope when folded double after coiling.*Slings and harnesses and some hardware can be fit in with the rope and in the equipment compartment next to the back. With a rope this size, the lower pocket is just about unusable as the rope fills most of the compartment.*Ice axe or other equipment is easily attached with the T-tabs.For biking:*It's a little heavy although when just carrying rain gear and a few tools the fit makes it not noticeable.*The removable plastic stiffener doesn't do much when removed. There is still another stiffener and foam padding in the pack that you can't remove.*The wide shoulder straps make it very comfortable to use while riding.Skiing:*That season is still ahead, but it seems to be a very good size for carrying goggles or unused layers that might otherwise be left in the car.*The pockets on the strap keep keys, ski locks, and phone handy.*The pull tabs are rigid and easily gripped when wearing gloves.*The nylon snap tabs open easily with gloves with a squeeze as the squeeze tabs are on the outside of the clip.Well made and designed. It's up there with the Rolls of ski packs. I don't know the difference between the Medium and Large as they're both listed as 18 liters, but I ordered the large as I'm not small. Somewhere it said that the Large was 20 liters. I would have to have the two sizes together to even begin to tell the difference.5 stars

I absolutely love this Osprey Firn! It can hold practically anything and everything that you would ever want to carry. It's basically the perfect pack if you're going to go out snowshoe hiking / camping. It works well if you're taking a larger load out snowboarding and/or skiing as well.I use a different pack for carrying around my boots and other associated gear but once I am out, this is an amazing pack that can hold all of your essentials and then some. The quality is high, the zippers are fantastic, the adjustability creates the perfect fit and basically I couldn't be any happier.

Osprey makes excellent packs and this latest Firn model is no exception! I love that the material is lightweight and neutral colors, while being extremely durable. The zippers all function flawlessly and are equipped with easy to grab pulls. The many pockets, straps, and other features packed in really set this pack apart from others. It's fairly compact and low profile, but holds a lot and keeps things organized.

While I don't plan on using this for its "intended" purpose. The bag in and of itself is super nice. Materials are solid, weight is appropriately light for its intended application. Really, more or less, exactly what you'd expect from Osprey - a quality, well built bag.
