Your cart is empty. The OTC 4847A contains the tools to remove and install inner cam bearings without damage to the crankcase. The bearing puller is designed to trap the needle bearings and keep them from falling into the crankcase. The installation tools are designed to press on the outer most diameter of the bearing, eliminating damage to the bearing, cam, or case. The press adapter will also set the bearing to its proper depth. Removes and installs both 7/8" and 1" ID bearings. Similar to HD-42325-B.

I have done a few camshaft jobs. I have used the sub $100 import tools. They are scary. Threw mine in the scrap bin. This OTC kit is a SUPERB tool by comparrison! The puller passes through and clicks right in with almost no effort. In my experience with the cheap tools, they are VERY stiff and have to be tapped through the bearing with a hammer. Dangerous! This kit makes cam jobs sinple, and safe. The quality materials will last a lifetime. When you get this kit, CLEAN IT. All such things will have debris from manufactuing. Lube and run all threads first to make sure everything is smooth before stiking this in your motorcycle. . My kit was a bit dirty and some machine cuttings left behind. The kit has two different pullers/dies. One each for early and late model Twin-Cam, which is why it is expensive. It is basically two tools.I would buy this again in a heartbeat, but I should never have to.

I just used this tool to replace my cam bearings as part of a cam tensioner replacement on my 2003 Harley Lowrider. Comes with basic instructions for removal and installation that are easy to follow. The Good:The case is well laid out, but nice an compact to not take up a ton of space in your toolbox.Nothing feels cheap to me. Every piece feels well made.Has pieces to work on more than just the 88.The could be better:The instructions are basic, with one picture each for removal and installation. This is an issue because the plate used to center and install the new bearings only fits one way, and there are no markings to let you know which way is "up" on the plate. The instructions say to use a 1 1/8 inch wrench for installation; that is to big, as was a 1 1/16, and 1 inch socket was to small. I had to use a pipe wrench, but an adjustable wrench would work fine too.The bad:Price could be better, but overall it's not that bad. If you're spending the money to do the job yourself, it's "buy once, cry once".

The usual top notch OTC quality , worked like a charm and made in the USA, forget the cheap china made tools not worth it if you will doing multiple cam jobs and want it to work right, spend the extra cash it is well worth it. You will not regret it. Two thumbs up!

After reading of the poor quality & performance of other bearing tools, I decided to take a big "gulp" and buy this more expensive one. This tool made the removal and replacement of my bearings so easy, I wanted to do more! I only had one issue. I have an oversized "safety chrome" :) cover that interfered with one of the large-headed hand screws, so I had to "modify" the head of the screw (no big deal). I inspected all the parts I used, and they showed no signs of wear! Every part fit the bike in perfect alignment. No slips, no gouges, marks, or chafes. This tool should withstand many, many uses without problems. Bottom line: What a pleasure to have such a high quality product. Spend the money, you will not be disappointed. Besides, you friends can use it too!!

The kit came packaged very well. The bearing removal tool didn't hold up. Pulled the first inner cam bearing without any issues. The second one a part of the removal tool broke off. One of the ears. So I was stuck. Cost me time and more money. I purchased a Jim's removal tool that worked flawlessly. With all this being said. I haven't contacted seller yet due to time constraints and needing the removal tool ASAP. Now the installation tool worked great. Zero issues. Would I purchase again. Maybe in a pinch. My review may change depending on seller's remedy if any. Like replacement of said tool or partial refund as the removal tool . Anyway good luck and happy riding.

This is the one to buy. You will find a lot of them on eBay for cheaper, but this one is high quality, precision, and comes with a case- and with all the parts, a case is a good thing. Well worth the money.

This is the one you want, I know it costs more but you get what you pay for. The ones coming direct from China are no all drilled right and won't line up straight with the cam bearings buy those at your own risk you might get lucky and get a good one laughing as I typed that. .

The puller/installer is easy to use. I had the old bearings out and new ones in in about 10 minutes. It comes in a case so easy to keep organized.
