When used, it becomes obvious that this tool is an exact design to fit the Ford Explorer torsion bar bracket. It allows simple and safe removal of the torsion bar. Excellent tool.

I am sure this is a nice tool, like other OTC products I have purchased. In this case, I found Amazon to have the best price for this tool, and OTC seems to be the only common supplier. I took a nap before hitting the 'submit' button and discovered that a simple bottle jack, operating against the weight of the truck, easily lifted the torsion bar arm so that the adjuster place could be removed, and gently drop the arm down to release pressure. You might consider something similar in light of the high price of this tool.

Absolutely couldn’t have done the job without it. Tried the C-clamp style but it just couldn’t line up correctly.This is the correct tool for Ford keys.
