I used it to remove the steering wheel in my Ram, to replace the clockspring. Worked perfectly. 10/10 would buy again.

Good quality tool and it gets the job done. I bought it to remove the steering wheel on my 2006 Silverado. One tip is put a little tension on the screw and then give the end of it a firm few taps with a brass hammer. That’ usually cause the wheel to pop loose with less force that just a straight pull.

Having a steering wheel puller already, this tool is a great addition to my tool cabinet and allows me to remove some of the GM model steering wheels. With a little shock once the puller is tight, the wheel comes off easily. The "little shock" refers to a tap with a hammer on the head of the center tightening screw.

Used with otc 6668 pulley kit to remove steering wheel on 08 wrangler jk, in order to remove the clockspring. Its cumbersome to set up with only 2 hands, but once its tight enough, use a ratchet. Also a little overpriced.

Conceptually an excellent tool; however the grip surface on many steering wheels is radiused slightly....requiring that the "hook" be slightly longer. Had to use a C-clamp to draw the two legs together in the puller to make it work. Construction and temper are excellent....what you'd expect from OTC.

Did the job on my Saturn Ion. I already had a universal type puller, that the legs fit into. Note: the hooks on the legs are strong enough, but not very long, so place a shim or small flat blade screw driver between the steering wheel holes and the back of the puller legs so the legs don't slide out of the holes and damage the wheel.

This tool did not perform as expected I was relying on the name OTC to be the good tool that they were.this item was a little less than expected for sure.
