Just what I was looking for. Soft & cool. especially if you get them wet. They stay in place very well & do not pinch arms. I've had issues with skin cancer but work out in the sun. Love the hi-vis as I use that in my job. This allows me to wear short sleeve uniform shirt & gives me protection.

As a runner and someone who has very pale skin, I tend to turn fire engine red whenever I'm outside despite sunscreen. So something like this that will keep my arms not burnt is wonderful. These sun sleeves fit well - they're pretty long and cover up to the mid bicep all the way down to the back of the hand, with a thumbhole and a little band to put your middle finger through so they keep the hands covered. The material feels nice, is SPF 50, and can be rolled up and easily fit into a pocket so I can have this on me on my running belt. This is definitely something I would use while cycling or hiking as well. Very solid product if you want to keep the sun off your arms and not have to wear long sleeved shirts.

These OR sleeves are a standard in my pack for biking or hiking. I have another, slightly less expensive pair in an off brand, but the ORs are definitely superior. They are comfortable, protect the backs of hands with thumb holes and, in hot weather, provide an amazing cooling effect through rapid evaporation. The cooling effect has to be experienced, but it is very real. I don’t know why these sleeves are so hard to find, but snap them up if seen! They are also very durable.

Sizing: i'm a small skinny guy at 5'6" 120 lbs. Ordered a size S/M, had size around knuckles is 7.75" and 9.5" biceps extended (11.5" flexing) . Its a snug fit. You should be fine up to 10.5" extended biceps but any larger, I'd go up a size. Don't see why outdoor research can't put this on their site, is it really so hard? I was a skeptic at first but it does had a cooling effect. Significantly more than the sentinel and sun versions? I can't say. Was barely more expensive than the regular sun version so I bit.Quality: Material-wise, looks solid as long as your not bush whacking. I've only barely received it , just basing this off my experience with clothing of similar material. my issue is with the thumb hole, clearly they need to step up their quality control. One hole is slightly smaller than the other. Its slight but you notice it when its on. Not enough to warrant a return but i will subtract 1 starSide note: tags are stitched in using a separate thread so you can cut it out without compromising the integrity. Such detail! if they could only have applied the same care to the thumb holes.Hopefully this helps!

I wear these sun sleeves when cutting grass and on my daily walks. They stay in place without any readjustment and actually feel cool when the humidity is moderate or low.

Whoa, these fit huge. I ordered S/M, and the sleeves are much longer and wider than any arm warmer I have worn during running. I think if you are a S/M for arm warmers, you might have to get the kids version of sun sleeves from Outdoor Research and not the adult S/M sized ones.

Out of about 7 pairs of sun sleeves that I purchased and tried during my long runs of 15-23 miles while training for a marathon, these were my favorite and are now my go-to. I didn't use the thumb holes because I paired them with the Outdoor Research Spectrum Sun Gloves, but I appreciated that the thumb holes made the sleeves longer so they covered my upper hands if necessary. No irritation from the grip-strip at the top of the sleeves, no problems with them slipping down on me, and the Small/Medium fits me well as a 5'2" 115 lb woman.

Other sleeves I have are more compression type and require pulling and tugging to get on. These slip on easily and with the “rubber†strip at top, they stay in place. My second pair so I have backup while in laundry. Wear them every day on my morning walks and just kicking about. Very comfortable.

Basically, I've learned over the years that you can hardly go wrong with anything from OR. And this holds true for these UV protectiv sleeves, too.

Wir haben insgesamt schon 2 paar dieser ärmlinge bestellt. Ein Paar für mich und eines für meinen Mann.Positiv: man spart sich Sonnencreme und bekommt trotzdem keinen Sonnenbrand. Die Funktion wird erfüllt. Es wirkt sogar etwas kühlend.Negatives: die Größen sind komisch. Wir haben einmal die S/M und einmal die L/XL bestellt. Wenn man diese übereinander legt, erkennt man aber nicht so viel Unterschied. Der eigentlich Größere ist kürzer geschnitten aber am Oberarm dehnbarer.Im Endeffekt sind allerdings mir beide zu groß (trotz gummierten Rand rutschen beide) und meinem Mann sind beide zu klein (zu eng am Oberarm). Er hat jetzt auch nicht so die dicken oberarme, also wenn Mann hin und wieder mal ein Fitnessstudio besucht und kräftige Oberarme hat, sind diese ärmlinge nichts.Ich habe mich damit abgefunden, dass ich sie regelmäßig wieder hoch ziehe. Immer noch besser als klebrige Sonnencreme.

Nicht dick auftragend, dennoch vor Sonne und (vor allem) kaltem Wind im Hochgebirge schützend. Schnell dran und auch klein verstaut.
