The hat performs well as expected, with a fairly wide run and the super useful flap in the back...But what surprised me was how well it worked in water. I wore it in the ocean and the material wasn't super absorbent. Rather, I was able to keep it on my head and the strap kept the Waves from pushing it off.The material it's made of allowed it to dry quickly, and surprisingly it didn't take on the "ocean smell" that my swimsuit and other clothes did... So I really like the material!The sun blockage is very good without being visually obtrusive. There are fisherman hats with more flaps hanging down, but those would obscure view and might look unusual.This is normal looking enough that I wear it to the beach, to the golf course, and walking my kids to school. It's good.The stitching feels professional and all in all feels like a quality product.

Bought this for my dad because he hates putting on sunscreen. He almost always wears a cap, but if he's doing yard work or gardening, he'll sometimes get his ears or back of neck sunburnt.This hat is very lightweight and adjustable. It looks nice, especially after fitting it onto his head by adjusting the string on the back of the hat. It covers his ears and back of the neck nicely. It also has a chin strap to secure it for windy days or beach breeze.I'll speak more on the quality after we stick it in the washer. But so far, seems like a great hat at a low price.

I live in Oklahoma and our summers are hot and humid for long periods. This hat has protected my head, neck, and face from sunburn. I like the wide brim it covers the face for shade. Only thing I would note is noises can be a little bit muffled or quieter because of the neck cover, which can be annoying if people need to speak with you on a regular basis. Sometimes the neck cover will blow on my head because of the wind which we also get a lot of. I would rather have this than a baseball cap. It does not squeeze on my head like a baseball cap would. Lightweight makes for great comfort.

I got this hat to protect from the sun in summertime while doing backyard chores but ended up wearing it in the rain, did a good job at keeping me dry until a downpour made water enter through the side mesh vents, other than that I did a good job to block the sun throughout the day and keep sweat away from my face/eyes. On windy days it does stay put with the cord and the neck flap stays put, which is also pretty thick for sun protection. Its very wide brim helps block out the sun and covers well over my shoulders. The mesh side vents help keep your head cool yet still protects from the sun. I really like this hat and plan to get more for working on the yard. I highly recommend it and for the price point it's a great idea to buy two.

Let’s make this clear, if you’re a fashionista, this isn’t for you on the other hand you can probably style it just right. The protection is great and super light weight, exactly what I wanted. I’ve bought several as gifts now and more colors for me.

Having used a similar hat during hot weather in Australia thought it would be useful as UK summers are getting hotter and have more extreme UV. I like the neck cover, the adjustable strap and wide deep peak. It's also light and comfortable to wear. Very useful for outdoor work and particularly gardening. It works for me!

Great protection covers fully the neck and with a wide brim easily shades the face. Lightweight with and adjustable strap to stop it blowing off your head. Very happy with my new hat.
