Very beefy for a mitten. Because ti's one-size fits all it is fairly large so if you have very small hands, it may not fit very well. The leather seems pretty nice. I haven't used it enough to really know how it'll hold up, time will tell. So far so good and that's the current rating and impression for this grill mitten.

They are just a tad bit thin. If I have to hold something for more than a second or two, the heat is working right through to my fingers. But the up side of being a little thin, they are also nimble. So it tends to not matter as I can handle the hot item with ease due to how well these allow me to move while wearing them.

This mitt seemed a little cheap when I opened it, we used it for a week with pans from the oven and a cast iron skillet and found that it did not provide any more heat protection than my 10 year old pot holders. The leather is showing signs of burns/branding/blackening. My husband almost dropped a skillet because it did not provide enough heat protection.
