We have a small creek in our backyard that we wanted our children to be able to cross more easily. However, we didn't want to spend too much money. Happily, this bridge seems like it will do the job.This bridge is able to hold the weight of an adult and child, and looks very nice (I added 3 coats of varnish so that it would survive sitting out through snowy winters.) It is sagging a bit in the middle, but I am not too surprised by that given the cost. I intentionally bough a straight bridge so that I could add additional supports or boards if necessary. If you plan it to be used by adults frequently, I would probably reinforce it to start with. Since it is mainly for our children, we'll just see how it goes.Building it was fairly straightforward given that the walking surface of the bridge comes pre-assembeled in two halves.Overall, I would buy it again.

I purchased this item thinking I would place it over my front lawn that leads to my mailbox to make it safe for my granddaughter to check the mail. However, after putting it together we learned that key parts was missing and some didn't line up correctly to screw in where they had already placed these metal pieces inside the wood. I was extremely upset to get that far just to be disappointed. We tried other methods to like using other pieces of wood and screws and once completed it didn't even hold my granddaughters weight until we placed cinder blocks and other pieces of wood underneath it. I wouldn't recommend spending the money on this product.
