This is a MULTI-PURCHASE REVIEW...I give The Outward Hound Teaser Pole a HUGE FIVE STAR++++++! How did I ever manage to play with my pups before this toy I'll never know?! My dogs Love! Love! Love this simple toy. It's the best thing ever! My 9 month old Mini Golden Doodle is obsessed, as is my Shih-poo. It provides us all with endless hours of laughter and joy.The ORIGINAL REPLACEMENT TOYS (the black and white/beige and white, rat looking things) that come with the pole, I give FIVE STARS++. They're adorable, and depending on how aggressive your dog is at playtime, they can last a long time. The squeaker's....eh...not as long...but then I have a squeaker nut, so that might be the issue.HOWEVER, the FOX and BEAR replacement toys I give ONE STAR.(1) The Fox toy ripped across the middle the first day we played with it, so I sewed it back together. Easy fix. Once repaired, the loop broke (the loop at the top of each toy that attach it to the string on the pole). This was end of the fox, as there was no way to fix it successfully.(2) The Bear toy's LOOP broke the first time we played with it. My dog didn't EVEN have it in his mouth at the time, it just flew off the pole! WTH!? The loops on the original ones have NEVER broke, and my larger dog, at 30 lbs has been drug across my yard with it in his mouth. The loops on the stuffed fox and bear are thinner and weaker.I only wish I had realized this before the time for a refund had expired. Ugh. Now I'm stuck with the darn things, as I bought two of eac. Oh well....I guess it is what it is....sigh.

You might think that you could put any toy onto the pole, but while technically you can - no other toy is as great as these little gems.First of all these are exactly the right size and length to provide maximum chase without being too easy to catch.Second, they have beady little eyes that cannot be ignored.Third - they squeak when squished.Fourth - they rattle when shaken. And last but not least - they are durable enough to last through the chasing and catching - BUT if you let your furry little doggos sit with these too long they will de-squeak and de-rattle them. Even after that though these are irresistible and end up soggy with puppy spit. Good news - they can be washed. So glad I can order these separate from the pole and keep us in good stock.

My two 30-lb poodles will tear up a flirt pole toy like this in a week. The loop never pulled out of this toy but it did eventually lose both the squeeker and the rattler but there is no stuffing to be concerned about. It ripped up twice until only the head was left but my dogs thoroughly enjoyed chasing and playing tug of war with it. One of the best flirt pole toys I've ever purchased.

Cute, but they get ripped easily and lose their squeakers and rattles during play. I have to grab those quick before my dog tries to eat Them. She does like playing with the flirt pole though.

My pomeranian loves this toy and flirt pole type toys, but she's not an aggressive chewer at all (has rarely bit or broke any of her many toys & dog beds) yet she broke both of these in less than a day. Thankfully, the flirt pole is a pretty interactive/attentive toy so we were able to notice when they broke immediately and take it away before she ate any filling or broken string. The orange fox one broke at the string and flew off the flirt pole. We tried to re-tie it with the broken string but she broke that again within a day. The brown one ripped apart at the seams and the fluff/filling came out. My dog almost ate it but we stopped her in time. I'd say only allow your dog to play with this toy if you're able to monitor him or her during the playtime. But we won't be repurchasing due to how easily these break apart.

I have purchased so many of these. My dogs, especially my BC mix, are obsessed with them. They hold up incredibly well, wash up well and are just a great little in-house toy for mouthy dogs or small dogs. I have yet to have one of these fall apart. I wash them, hide them, and wait for someone to find a treasure again. Have bought multiples and will continue to buy.

I got this for my adult German shepherd, not really expecting much with it costing only a few dollars.I was pleasantly surprised. My dog can be a bit rough on flirt pole toys, and this one has held up great. Add to that being coated in mud, snow, and frozen dog slobber. It's still in one piece after numerous flirt pole sessions over the past couple months. I also want to add that it doesn't get very heavy when coated in frozen dog drool either, it stays fast and easy to move.I will definitely be buying more for Dean, my German shepherd.

I like the idea behind this tail spinner. My dog loved the squeaky noise. Sadly, I just received this today, and my dog was able to chew pieces out of it within 15 minutes. Thankfully, I supervised her with this toy, and I was able to throw away the pieces she bit off. Besides it not withstanding her teeth, the toy is fun for her. She is enticed by the squeaky noise and tail.

Listen to all the negative reviews on this one! The string completely broke off within the first 20 seconds of attaching it to the flirt pole. My dog didn’t even tug hard. Disappointing as the two toys that originally came with the flirt pole lasted months of heavy use.

It’s a great toy for a dog who plays and doesn’t destroy. My dog had it broken down in 15 mins of getting it.
