Works very well! This rack has been a lifesaver for our active, outdoorsy family. Whether it's going out the door for work, play, recreation, or shopping, we're quickly and easily able to find our shoes. Our little toddler is also able to keep his shoes handy and within reach, whether we're returning or going, and it keeps our home much tidier as a result! Rack handles shoes of all types/sizes well (including large men's hiking boots, large tennis shoes, women's dress shoes, athletic sandals, slip-proof work shoes, slippers, and kid's shoes. We have the white rack over our white door, and the rack is barely noticeable. 5 out of 5 recommended.
