I really like Oden leather tools, good quality and the price is reasonable, works great when doing lace work, when you need a little bit bigger awl

Good quality, versatile tool. Considering other tools from same company.

The product is nice. Its feels good in your had. It holds the tool ends well.My only complaint is the tool ends are EXTREMELY dull. They Must be sharpened before they can be used used. It's not hard to sharpen them. A file. And some fine sandpaper. And some buffing Rouge to put a nice finish on it.All in all, a good tool. Good for the money. I'd buy it again.Just be warned that you'll have to sharpen it for heavy leathers.

The only flaw i see in the design is the neck of it. the part that goes into the handle. It looks a bit thin and i don't know how it will hold up in a year or long. but if it breaks I'll def be sad. It's nice and pointed comes with 4 different heads for different hole punch and the point is stiff enough to go through some thick veg easily.

the diamond blades are useless. Unless you know how to sharpen them . The awl blades are too wide. If you are using 0.8 or 1mm thread pass on this one. It was a waste of money for me.

great little awl haft. looks great. and does what it needs to. the awl blade was a bit dull but easy to sharpen and holds an edge well. blades do slide in slightly with enough presure but no big deal once you adjust to it

This bad boy is freaking solid! The quality is exceptional and it's so comfy in my hand. The entire construction of it is very well made; even the tips have fully finished ends and textured surfaces where it fits into the chuck. I can't imagine me ever having to replace or repair this thing. LOVE IT!!!

I usually really like Owden stuff but I’m not Uber impressed with this. The chuck is pretty hard to tighten enough so the bit tends to slip, and I have really had to work hard to hone the diamond tips enough to pierce leather. It is not a great piece of kit by any means. I needed a French awl for some box joints so I tried this on a whim but it’s basically a pain in the butt. If this was my first Owden purchase I would never buy from them again but I know that they generally have decent quality and fair prices so I will give them a chance on something else. I would avoid this one, though.

At first glance it is a very nice looking awl, and I had high hopes. Once I started to use it, however, it’s flaws became apparent. The awl blades are dull and require polishing out of the box. I was not a fan of the tapered blades it came with, and every time I had difficulty pulling the awl out of a hole, the whole blade would pop out of the collet…I was unable to tighten them down hard enough. Another case of you get what you pay for.
