Im a framer and the Kevlar reel it’s very durable. Only downside is side is the hear tend to wear out after a couple months of use. Other than that great product!

Flat out best chalk line Ive ever unowned and used daily in constructing metal buildings daily in all weather conditions and I’ve owned 40 or so different brands and models

The line was super frayed right from the beginning, wouldn’t even create a line just a big spot of chalk, on top of that the chalk was leaking out the sides of the chalk box and even after trying to tighten the screws chalk would still find its way out. Very disappointed with this line because I am a fan of ox and the stuff I’ve used was a good bang for your buck. I honestly tried to give this chalk line a good chance but I just can’t get myself to use it anymore because of all the cons

My old chalk reel was tired and I was way past replacing the line again. The OX delivers pro level results but more than that it is designed to do the hard yards and it shows. The aluminum case is a bit of overkill for home but I this will be the last chalk reel I ever buy. Couple that with the KEVLAR line and I don't expect to ever need to replace the line either. WINNING!! Plus, the 6:1 gear ratio means I can reel in the line faster and get on with what I really need to accomplish for the day once my layout is done. Thanks OX for thinking of these great features and combining them in the same product.

Absolutely the best Chalk Reel I have owned.The Kevlar line seems less stretchy, I can pull it way tighter to snap a cleaner line especially on long runs.So far the line has outlasted the braided line version from another brand significantly.Overall feels much more sturdy and heavy duty in your hand, not cheap plastic.Line is medium thickness so you get a decently bold line you can see well.Love it

Absolutely terrible!! The person that designed this must not snap any lines!! I use chalk boxes all day long and the best are still the old school metal Irwin’s that I substitute the line with gammon reel!! Throw this $27 box of the building!!
