So sounds silly to make a review on this but I feel like we are not alone. For the longest time we would have butter out on a plate to use and it was tacky but it did the job. Then one day I came across someone having a butter dish and decided to look. Man, I did not expect so many options and especially with some of the prices! This product was just clean, simple and does the job! I like the clear cover because you can always see how much is in it, the measurements on the inside are nice and useful but all in it does the job without feeling like you over paid! Crazy though, I don't know if I use more butter lately because I can always see it and want to use it but it's been useful in the house and beats what we were doing before. If your looking to just get something to make the job done and not pay too much, this is it and you won't be disappointed. Plus I feel it is nice enough to work with the kitchen attire!

Love my new OXO butter dish - has excellent grip so doesn't move at all when I'm using it and fits nicely into fridge door spot (not too wide like my old ceramic one that slid around too). Good quality. I think OXO is excellent kitchenware brand, and this butter dish is good example.

It is easy to spread and is fresh (there, I mentioned these irrelevant characteristics as suggested)The OXO butter dish seems to be of reasonable quality material and finish. The lid is lightweight, is not adversely tapered, and is therefore easy to remove and replace, even with slippery hands. If it had grooves it would be even better (doesn't have to be deep or have sharp corners; just a radiused indent on each side would help arthritic hands hold it well.)The base is too lightweight. It scoots around if the butter is refrigerated. We decided to leave it out on the counter so the butter stays soft. But this means we can't get a clean-cut piece out, because the side rails are in the way. We always end up with a glumpy residue left in the well.I wonder if anyone has thought of making the side rails not continuous but interrupted. Continuous side rails are not needed to keep the butter stick from scooting away, and the non-rail sections would allow my knife to cut all the way down, across the full width of the stick, and lift out a full soft pat of butter. When needed, the stick could be easily slid to realign with the low area of rail.We like the end-rails which work nicely to stop endwise escape, and this keeps the lid cleaner. A quarter of butter lasts us about 2-3 days, and in our kitchen it stays between 68°F and 78°F, and the butter always seems fresh.

I was looking for a nice dish to leave butter on the counter, and as usual, OXO did not disappoint. Perfect size and design, and easy to wash. What more can you ask of a butter dish.

Folks...it's just a butter dish. I just don't understand all the complaints. Both east coast & west coast sized sticks of butter/margarine will fit. The bottom is non-skid (truly like that). Yes, the lid is plastic, but not the least bit flimsy. Any good cook can eyeball a tablespoon of butter without having to measure it out precisely. So, for the price & features, I cannot complain. Oh, and who is so lazy as to not be able to hand wash a butter dish...sigh. Great product for the price!

I have looked in numerous stores for a butter dish that holds the 1/4 sticks of butter. This dish is just perfect in size. Very well made with rubber feet so it doesn’t slide all over the table or counter. The clear top is made of heavy material more like acrylic, so does not slip in your hand when removing. I am more than pleased with my purchase.

Ela bem linda, porém não cabe aquela barrinha de 200g, quando uso tenho que cortar a manteiga, o que acaba fazendo que eu nem use.

Es una mantequillera sencilla, pero está bien hecha. Es para una barra de tamaño normal y se puede partir con facilidad sin que resbale la mantequilla ni el plato porque tiene algo de gomas (es lo negro que se ve)que se agarran a la superficie y asà no se mueve.Fácil de lavar y mantener limpia porque la barra de mantequilla no queda justa. Es muy práctica para el refrigerador y muy presentable en la mesa.Muy ligera y al mismo tiempo segura.
