I have had electric, non-corkscrew and suction. This is by far the most durable and reliable wine opener (and the only one I’ve never broken). This was purchased as gift- the one in my drawer has been in use for 14 years and still acts like brand new. I’d give more stars if I could!

Looks well made. But the corkscrew itself is a weak point that makes the whole unit worthless. Disappointed. Maybe they sell replacements corkscrews?

Couldn't believe that the internal "screw" broke off inside, but the new one seems fine and the old one lasted 10 years before this happened. We've had other wine screws that haven't lasted a long, so this is great.

I bought a few of these and the quality is hit and miss. When you pick it up it seems really heavy duty, but the metal snapped off just above the corkscrew portion on one we bought. The metal just gave way. The most recent one we bought failed at the plastic/metal handle on the top, which started to spin in the socket and would not tighten all the way into the cork. I was able to fix that one with some epoxy. Otherwise, they work great. Update 4/13/15: My epoxy fix did not last and the top plastic/metal handle portion is spinning in the socket again. This is just pressed on and needs a pin or something to keep in place. Really disappointed and I need to get another new one. Any suggestions on one that will last? How is the Rabbit?

We gave this to our son as one of his Christmas presents (his other one had broken). This should last forever. He says it's perfect - easy to use, heavy duty, looks great - and MUCH better than his last wine opener.

I found it annoying to open wine bottles with the corkscrew we had. It seemed to be a bit of a struggle. I bought a bunch returning the worst ones and gifting the others.This is clearly the easiest to use of all the ones I tried by a lot. Appears to be sturdy; certainly large and heavy.Can't figure out some of the other reviews here about this not being easy to use.

Do not get this if you think it's durable because it's metal. It isn't. The corkscrew worm broke off after 1 year and apparently can't be replaced.
