I am a home school mom who purchased this protractor because the opaque one was difficult for my son to read since he has vision issues. The protractor has 12-or14-point numbers which makes it much easier to read. The bottom of the protractor has a ruler which is 8 inches long, so that it works well with a textbook that requires writing on their pages.

I needed a very large protractor to mark 5 degree lines on a large 30 inch wood circle for a mandala design. Small protractors could not give me the accuracy I needed. This did the job. Easy to read numbers and degree marks. Clear durable plastic.

The protractor I received had several circular knockouts etched in the plastic; one on the centerline crosshairs. Instead of using the knockouts I drilled a 1.5mm hole through the crosshair, which suits my drafting purposes. The plastic is sturdy enough.
