These are aluminum, so come with that as a built-in limitation. I guess these would be good for fence, or other places where splice strength isn't important. Compared to Nicopress brand sleeves (aluminum), these aren't as strong, and are a little smaller in all dimensions. The aluminum alloy that they are made with doesn't seem as good either. If you're not using the cable under tension (lifting, pulling, etc.), these are probably fine. They stick the cable together well enough. They're certainly less expensive than Nicropress sleeves. (regardless of brand, cable terminated with aluminum sleeves under load come with limitations anyway).In tests, these failed noticeably easier than Nicopress, but fared better than whatever aluminum no name thing they had at the local hardware store (which were much thicker aluminum, and longer too).So, with all of that, they aren't bad, they aren't great, and at least they're inexpensive. They have their place, but that place comes with longevity and strength limitations.
