It's cedar shavings. Smells like old cedar shavings rather than fresh. There is a good scent, but it's weak.

I bought this cedarwood to use in my cigar humidor, closets, and other areas of my home. However, when I opened the bag with all the pouches, I was extremely disappointed. All of the pouches smelled like poplar wood, the wood you’d find in hamster cages. This is not the cedar scent I was expecting, and it’s definitely not what I paid for. I wouldn’t recommend this product if you’re looking for genuine cedarwood fragrance.

I ordered these packets to act as a repellent for moths. They were easy to hang in closets and, also used them under furniture sitting on wool rugs, a great attraction for moths as well.
