Why does polyester strapping come in so many colors?

I was hesitant about the quality of ordering this thinking it might not work that good.. I was very surprised and the tool has a heavy feel to it. The strapping material was very strong and the tool pulled the wood 2x6's together tight.. I wanted the 5/8" banding and heavy duty tool. I did get extra crimps.. strapping will last for a bit. But I will have to get more later..

The strapping is very good quality the only reason for 4 and not 5 stars is that it started coming undone as soon as we opened it the inside cardboard needs to secure the roll and it does not.

The video really helps since it's not that intuitive. It may take a little time to figure out how to use it but once you do, the results are great. Banding is nice and tight. Crimping works well will without loss of tension. Very nice product.

This kit is heavier-duty than many advertised on Amazon - the strapping tape included can handle heavier loads. The kit includes L-braces that are useful for running the tape over to reduce damage to the carton underneath when tightening the straps. The strap tightening tool works well and the clamp crimping tool secures each strap easily. The included instructions aren't very good and the strapping has a tendency to not come cleanly off its roll (there's no rim to help keep it aligned while being drawn out) but these are relatively minor deficiencies in an otherwise excellent kit. There are several clear YouTube videos showing proper technique with this kit that make up for the documentation shipped with the kit.

I just banded up a whole bunch of lumber that I’d been saving from jobs to keep it from warping. Everything held perfect. I did double clip though

This is a great kit that includes everything needed for packing. The tools feel heavy-duty and perform as intended. The heavy-duty strap may be an overkill for small and light boxes, but it is handy for packing heavy loads. I definitely recommend this quality kit!

Banded they were skids already, the banding is extremely thick and strong, the tools seem to be okay
