These moving blankets are very heavy (sorry to the Amazon delivery lady), therefore perfect to clad the walls of a small bedroom to create a recording studio that absorbs sound rather than reflects. That room really reflected before. No more! Not sure anyone would need such thick and heavy moving blankets for moving, maybe for a precious piece of furniture, but if you are creating a recording studio these blankets are perfect. Just wish we had a choice of color! Would have loved Burgundy, that was the color of our former studio.

Ah, you know the old saying... you get what you pay for. These blankets live up to the sales pitches. If you have a large family and you know that each one of your children and grandchildren are going to move a dozen time each... grandpa, should keep some of these in the garage to be LOANED out only. Good quality that will hopefully stand the test of time.

The stitching is poor and the trim is fraying in spots. They are very heavy and otherwise seem durable. The size is good. I personally think they are too expensive, and the chemical-like smell was strong. I was hoping they would air out, over a night or 2, but it’s been a few weeks and it’s better, but still noticeable.My main concern is that fine blue lint dusted everything in the room I used these in. These particles are so fine that they were up my nose, in my throat, and causing me to cough after the first day of working with them so I wore a mask for the next couple days.I’m using them for sound dampening so being in a small space surrounded by these blankets with the lint dust and the chemical smell was initially irritating my respiratory tract. I know that their main function is to protect furniture, but they are commonly used for sound dampening. They came wrapped in plastic (in a box) and almost immediately after I took the plastic off there was blue lint covering the bed, the side tables and everything else. I do not have asthma or anything else that makes me highly sensitive to respiratory issues, but I do recommend wearing a mask when working with this product.

After a single use these are sort of thread-bare on any surfaces that rub on another piece of furniture. They are a decent thickness and are padded well, but won't last many moves.
