I used these placemats for educational purposes, not as placemats! However, I have wiped them off, bent them a lot when trying to get them out of their storage spot, and can speak to their durability, as the seal around the edges is tight. I use them to study World geography to help with my online Worldle and Globle games!! They are extremely helpful; you just grab one, rather than sifting through maps or going online all the time. They are very detailed and have a scale, also, to approximate distances. When my grandsons age a bit, I will put them on the table for placemats. I now own 5 of these, each a different region.

This is probably the best $5 I've spent recently. The colors pop well and the writing is very legible. It's also very sturdy. The lamination is perfect, seeing as I was going to laminate it anyways. I'm wanting to hang this up in my Spanish classroom. I love that you can flip it over and almost quiz yourself as the back is blank. My only complaint is it's smaller than I expected. A lot of the mat is the ocean and not the actual continent. I understand that the size is stated online, I just completely overlooked it and that's my fault. Planning on making more purchases soon.

Good conversation piece for anyone into maps or locations. Laminated were tou can use at the dinner table or just lounging around in the house.

I actually memorized all the counties of Africa using this simple device. It's a place mat in your face every time you sit down to eat. It inspired me to google a little about each country, enough to follow news of the day and understand how the countries came to be. And to maintain my knowlege, I just review a section of the map at every meal. Get it and get a handle on the second largest continent on the planet. It's also durable and easy to clean.

Bought these to use as placemats for my young boys and will be returning them as soon as possible.ProsThe pictures and size are as described in the description;Dry Erase marker will definitely wash off of these without any problems; andSeem durable.ConsIt is simply a laminated piece of paper;Could be made yourself by simply printing out an image and laminating it;Any home office store can print any image you want in placemat size and laminate it for less than $5; andLamination is very slick and the placemat moves all about on the table and the dishes move all about on the placement.The placemat image is very nice and the lamination is thick, but honestly this is not a placemat for children. I would call this more of a classroom learning aid. If you want something like this you can just make it yourself for much cheaper and little to no effort.I do not recommend this product as it is poor as a placement and is a poor value for the money.
