I'm using this to stir UV coating in an in line printing setup. It is pretty viscous but probably not as thick as some paint. It is able to be adjusted from very slow to really fast RPM's. I don't want my UV solution to be frothy or have any bubbles in it and this system works perfectly for my purpose. The decibels increase as you adjust the motor to spin faster, but not excessive. I like being able to hear that it's running and at what speed. Also nice is the ability to see the shaft spinning where it connects to the mixing shaft. I keep a lid on my 5 gallon bucket because I don't want my UV solution to cure. After drilling a hole in it I assembled the shaft and propeller mixer. Using the height adjustment knobs fist I then hold the lid up with a 1-1/4" binder clip to hold the lid up while adding to the liquid. I had a question for the representative that was selling this and they were responsive and helpful.
