This year for Christmas my daughter wanted to do a lot of crafting and so we got her a lot of different options.This little paint your own lamp kit was great. It comes with a plastic lamp, a small pallete, some paints, and a couple brushes. She was able to sit at the table and paint the whale exactly how she wanted and then set it up in here room and display it.I will say, across the board it's probably not the nicest material, but it's sturdy and works really well. Overall, very happy with this.

My 7 y/o son is really crafty and needed a new nigh light, so this was the perfect gift for him. He absolutely loved it and wasted no time breaking out the paints and decorating it. It's not a huge lamp, more of a night light, but it served our purposes really well. Most importantly, my son was able to do the whole thing independently and was proud to put it on his dresser and show it off afterwards. Put some newspaper down because the painting does get a bit messy but it dries on well.

This crab light is the perfect art project for young children. My grandson thoroughly enjoyed getting to paint it any style he wanted. Make sure you put down some newspaper or whatnot to help with the paint mess. Lol. Easy for my 6 year old grandson to paint by himself with no issues except getting it on himself as well. 😠The lamp part is also nice because it's not terribly bright and can be used as a night light if you chose. And the biggest bonus of all is that no two crab lamps will be the same! Everyone gets their own individual one!

We painted outs and it needs a finish to preserve the paint. Anything touches the cheap plastic painted cat and the paint scratches off. The product itself is a cheap dollar store level item, and what's worse is that after painting, it becomes garbage, because a drop of water will ruin the thing and if it touches something, the paint is gone.

This cat light kit is a great present for a little kid. The light is battery operated, the battery comes with the light, so it works right out of the box. It is made out of plastic, so coloring can we washed off with a wet cloth. They send watercolor paint in this kit, in my opinion, acrylic paint or acrylic markers would be a better choice for the esthetic look of the coloring once the paint drys. Kids like it nevertheless with watercolor paint, they said that less light would be coming through if acrylic paint was used.

This paint your own kit is by far my most favorite i have ordered! my grand children loved painting these with me when they were here last. perfect size and good value for your money. the colors are super vibrant and bright and it seems to be a pretty good quality lamp! love this!
