I love this R2D2 clock. It looks great in my R2D2 kitchen. The alarm is all R2 sounds and it comes with a usb cable. I used a usb adapter for an outlet so I could plug it into the wall outlet. The light looks great and is easy to see. The clock and alarm are hard to set at first. It does not set like any other alarm clock. Read the directions first and then it will be easy to set. What the directions do not say is how to turn off the alarm when it goes off. It does not stop, you have to press the B button to shut the sounds off every time.

You're very small product. The value for the money is just not there. Works off of batteries only and cannot be plugged in. Light only stays on for short period of time.

Unfortunately this adorable little alarm clock that my 9 year old son wanted SO badly, didn’t work. The first one (and 2nd replacement) both had the issue of not staying powered up even long enough to set the clock! Of course we had it plugged into the wall, but even so, the clock display would quickly go black/turn off. I wondered if it had a battery compartment, but alas, no—only USB provided cable for power. I also wondered if it needed to “charge up,†and left it overnight. That didn’t work either. I really tried pretty much everything to get BOTH the cute clocks to work for my son, but I finally had to give up and return them! By the second replacement, I had to just concede to the fact that it must just be defective in general. The product is SUPER lightweight, FYI. We’re both SUPER bummed that it didn’t work!! Photos are of the 2nd replacement I received—that’s a display sticker btw—don’t think I actually caught it working! The other option (Minecraft?) may work much better!!

My 6 year old likes it.The clock is more toyish than expected. The clock is hard to read if it's not completely dark in the room and instead of a charger it requires batteries. The feel of it is a very light weight plastic. The cost is a little pricey for this type of clock for a child.

My son got this for a Christmas gift.The light worked when I first put the batteries in, but it worked a couple times and now doesn't work at all.It's a cute clock and he really likes it.But the plastic is really really cheap and the price is very high for what you're getting. It's most definitely not worth the price tag.Especially considering it doesn't properly work. The buttons are also pretty cheap, in fact on ours the buttons are somewhat crooked, they don't line up evenly like you would expect them to on a well made product. Again it is very cheaply made and incredibly overpriced for what you're getting.I emailed the manufacturer due to the light defect. Hoping to find a resolution.Cheap plastic or not, it is a cute addition to his room, now if only the light worked...

Got this for my son for XMas and it’s cute but we are really disappointed that the nightlight doesn’t work since it was the main reason we chose it. It lights up but only stays on for a minute.

Daughter is Minecraft obsessed and loves this. She now knows the time before getting up on the morning and it has a nightlight that times out. Quite a quick timeout, think it's about 10 minutes.

I buy it for a gift for my friend, and it’s really worth it the money. I feel like I want to have one for myself.The alarm produced by R2-D2 is so cool that you want to finish listening to it and not turn off the alarm immediately.I keep bragging on my friend that it comes from Germany.
