First of all, the merchant did an amazing job with packaging and delivery. The package was double boxed and the inside box was covered in bubble wrap; delivery was really fast, since I live in Mexico City and the merchant is in Korea I was surprised that it took only 4 days to arrive. Now for my review, you should take it with two grains of salt if you are a Professional Photographer, since I'm an amateur photographer, but I have had a couple of SLR cameras and some good pro-sumer Canon cameras experience. The Lens are a great piece of hardware, construction seems solid and the materials seem to be of quality, altough I don't think it's designed to be rugged, so treat it with care. The size is small (smaller than a US coke can, so you can picture it).One of the best parts of this lens is the internal zooming, this means that when zomming in or out the lenght of the lens doesn't change, this keeps your whole camera + lens in the smallest possible form.So far during my tests I have got sharp pictures across all the zoom range, Even with the image stabilization control, on it's maximum magnification you need a tripod or holding the camera really still enough -yes it's doable- (maybe some yoga classes will help) to get a sharp picture.I paired this lenses with my Olympus EP3, which has on body stabilization, the resulting combo is great. I recommend both the Lens and the Merchant.

Not nearly as sharp as my 14-140 or other lenses.

Went back and forth between the 14-140 and this lens and decided to commit to the 175 for two reasons; birding and YouTube reviews. Both are Power IOS, so getting stable photo and video from either with my G85 shouldn't be an issue. But getting that extra little detail (albeit small) from a long shot really pushed me to this model. For the money, it's actually very sharp. I'd love to be able to drop $1K+ on a lens, but it's not in the cards since this is a hobby, vs. my profession. BTW, this is the EXACT same model as the US marketed model. Mine was delivered in one week!!

I bought this lens for use on my Zenmuse x5 camera being carried by a DJI Inspire 1 Pro. This lens has really increased my asset inspection capabilities by allowing far better high-resolution and zoomed in images than any other system we fly. Lens can be focused and zoomed via sliders in the native DJI Go app. Excellent details and decent build quality.I also fly a Lumix GH4 under a hex frame copter but I haven't yet balanced that gimbal for this lens.

I'm using it with Blackmagic Micro Studio 4k cameras and the autofocus just does not work... Very limited range where it is useable. 80-100 Decent on the Cinema Cam 4k but not a good lens for studio use at all.

Works for me and saves almost $175 when compared with the regular Amazon price. Took only 3 days to arrive from Korea. Product is for sale in Japan, but works fine on my GH4.

I was initially disappointed as most pictures were not sharp. Then I found that the firmware needed updating, on the lens and on the camera (Olympus E-M1). The newer firmware seems to correct a problem with image stabilization, and enables the electronic shutter function (so no shutter-induced vibration). Now getting good sharp pictures. The price has gone up by about £100 since I bought it, so not such good value any more. Would have been 5* otherwise.

I've transitioned my photography from a bridge camera (FZ200) to Micro four-thirds. I've had a m43 camera for some time, but it was only when creating some GIF animations from frames of video that I found the extra performance of the m43 format to warrant losing the convenience of a bridge camera. So having had the ability to zoom from 25mm to 600mm, I now find myself in the business of changing lenses.Whatever people claim, prime lenses are the way to go on m43. I've got the Panasonic 12-35mm f2.8 "X" lens, and it's a lovely lens, but is not as sharp as its price suggests it ought to be. But there are times when the flexibility of a zoom is more important than absolute image quality, and environments when you really don't want to be removing your lens. I don't have a lot of cash to throw around, but I still wanted a flexible zoom with reasonable reach that also performs well. Looking at reviews and lens tests, I thought this 45-175mm 'X' series lens stood out as a bit of a bargain as an import, and so it turned out to be.I was concerned that zooming was lever only, but it actually has a delightful zoom ring that works very well. The electronically linked manual focus ring is nice and smooth also, and given how smooth the electronic action is, I'll take that over the horribly coarse manual focussing of the 100-300mm zoom any day. I use this lens on my OM-D E-M5ii, and even with the great IS on the Olympus, I found I needed a fairly fast shutter speed to capture movement and eliminate camera shake. (I haven't used this lens on a Panasonic body, so the lens IS is untested.) (I must be getting wobbly in my old age.) I'm not at all impressed with the continuous focussing of my E-M5ii, which is possibly down to some setting I haven't sorted out, or it is possibly that the E-M5ii is a bit poor at focussing on moving targets, but regardless, I find myself using manual focus with it a lot, so the manual focus performance of a lens is quite important to me.Contrast is not particularly impressive with this lens, and I noticed a fair bit of chromatic aberration too, when focussing. (Note that chromatic aberration is fixed in-camera on Panasonic bodies.) Grumbles aside, this is really pleasing lens to use and can give good sharp results. (See attached pics) I like the reach of the 175mm (350mm SLR equiv) though the 45mm is a little long to be ideal, but I found it handled really well. I like that the zoom doesn't cause tromboning, and it feels light but well-made. I can see me using this lens a lot, forgiving its limitations and enjoying its performance and handling. In conclusion, this imported lens is somewhat of a bargain as far as I'm concerned. It gives results far beyond what its modest price suggests. Highly recommended.
