received it right on time and was glad to see that if it exactly like it was supposed to. There was no problems with installation as I read with some of the offbrands. Thank you for a great product at a great price.

I bought this genuine GM part after trying a cheaper, aftermarket part that didn't work. This one worked perfectly.

This is an exact match to the original part on my 2006 Suburban. It was easy to install once you get the hoses off. Old unit was saturated and weighed 9 ozs. more than the new unit. This was the cause of my gas tank filling slow and tripping the gas nozzle off like the tank was full. It also solved the P0446 code causing my check engine light to come on.

I purchased an after-market canister, figuring all the GM/AC/Delco stuff is made in China so it is likely to be the same manufacturer anyways. Well, it wasn't. The nipple for the purge valve on the after-market was 9.7mm wide, and the line won't stretch. The original GM part and this replacement which is GM have a 9.2mm nipple. Checked with calipers.

Many owners of GM vehicles know about the slow filling of their gas tanks due to problems with the fuel vapor evaporative system. This problem had gotten progressively worse in recent years so when I put my Avalanche in the shop for several maintenance issues, I requested the mechanic to check & replace, if necessary, the evap solenoid which he did. However, the slow fueling problem got worse; much worse. Following recommendations by several on YouTube, I disconnected the vent hose from the fuel tank to bypass the charcoal canister and drove to a filling station and the problem went away. The fuel tank was now able to vent the pressure coming from introducing fresh fuel. I ordered this item and saved ~$65 versus the local auto parts stores and probably at least that amount if I had returned to the repair shop I originally took my truck to, not including the labor. As I'm in my late 60s, I rarely do any auto repair work any more. It's just easier to take it to a shop and be done with it. And it's not an especially easy job to perform, especially when you're working on your back on a creeper. Doing this with your vehicle elevated on a lift would be much easier. If you attempt this replacement, be sure to watch the videos that are available, especially those specific to your vehicle. These evap systems are all basically the same but accessing the different parts varies. If you like a challenge, go for it.

The exact part for my truck. A bit expensive for what it is, a plastic can full of charcoal. Made by Stant.
