When you don't want things clanking together, or moving. Get the rubber-backed washer. Lightweight Stainless, it will bend if you put enough pressure on it. I like the piece count and quality of both materials. I used this on a pannier set on the motorcycle, needing to dampen the stem bolt from sliding around on the frame. I would buy it again.

Planning on using these on my Can-Am that has an aluminum roof that currently vibrates a bit more than I would like and these look like they will be perfect sandwiched between the roof and the frame. These look to be very good quality, none of the rubber bushings are misaligned, holes appear to be of identical width, and I am sure they will work quite well for my use.

It's rubber bonded to a stainless washer. Pretty simple.It is a bit concave on the rubber side, and convex on the metal side.The washer is fairly soft, you can bend it with your fingers if you try. That is why it is a sealing washer, it conforms. Plan for it before treating it as a regular washer.
