Advantage:
Pillow block bearings are made of zinc alloy and bearing steel. It has high hardness and corrosion resistance and is durable, has two bolt holes for installation, easy to replace. The set screws enable the shaft to be fixed to the inner ring of the bearing and prevent slippage. It produces low noise and high speed. Not easy to get hot so the use period is long.

Adjusting and replacing the bearing is effortless, with the setscrew locking collar that ensures a secure and stable connection to the guided shaft.

I ordered a 5/8†bore block bearing, what I received is a block bearing that makes my 5/8†shaft feel like an ant in the Eisenhower tunnel….its severely oversized.The cast aluminum body is decent, bearing feels pretty decent, but, the size isn’t even close. No good.

Bearing bore measured .98 inches instead of a true 1 inch...other then that quality was as expected

This claims in the ad 3/4" and 15mm. It's 15mm ID and approximately 3/4" OD. The mounting brackets are not strong duty at all but for the price, they could be perfect depending on your application.

The bearing id is too small. My 8mm spec'ed shaft which measures 7.995mm is not even close to sliding into this bearing. I returned and ordered a different brand that specified 0.001" clearance.

NOT a self aligning bearing. It is fixed. I'm still going to use it but would have preferred a self-aligning bearing.

Bearing advertised as 3/4 inch, packaging even says 3/4 inch, but the actual size is much much smaller.
