I bought this to use for my daschund however he was too small to power it. I would assume most small dogs and medium dogs would be able to power this with ease though. The product is made very well, it's sturdy and looks like it could take some serious use. If anyone has a highly energetic small medium dog I would recommend it. I read some comments about how it was hard to assemble but it's only in about 5 pieces, the belt already on the track. It took me about 10 minutes to assemble without reading directions. Very very easy. I requested a refund/return of this item and customer service was quick to respond in less than 24 hours and the process was very easy and they exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this product and this company. You just don't get that kind of customer service or quality product anymore. If they made a smaller product I'd buy it again.

Just an amassing must have exercise equipment for any Doggy Day Care or at home dog lover. For the health of any four legged friend you have at home this is a most have. As a day care center not every dog is going to run with the pack but all can get some most needed exercise on this machine to help with anxiety, build up energy or old fashion weight loss. It's well made with dogs in mind.

It doesn't have wheels and is too heavy for 1 person to move. Some of the slats appear too big and actually rub on the steel wheels that they should flow freely over, thus making it more difficult for the small dogs to get it moving. We have had to elevate one end 5" to get it to start moving for them. Wish is moved smoother and easier for these little dogs.

The slat mill is just as pictured, but there are a few things lacking. First, the slats are roughly sanded wood instead of the cushioned rubber that most slat mills use (so minus 1 star). Second, there is no locking mechanism to prevent the treads from moving while the dog gets on and off. Again, most slat mills will have this. Fortunately, this isn’t as big of an issue for small dogs as they can usually be picked up and placed on it. Third, the instructions are as vague as they possibly can be while still being helpful. For example: there is an entire bag of washers, but no where in the instructions does it say to use the washers. Also, all of the screws require a larger than normal hex driver, but the hex driver is in the bag with the chain which you don’t need until the very last step. So that took a while to find. Therefore minus another star for the instructions and hex driver confusion. I will add that the back of the instructions has a guide on how to introduce your dog to the slat mill for the first time. This was a nice and helpful surprise. Bonus star for that. With all that said, I did get it on sale during Black Friday and I do think the money was well spent. If my little boy learns to love this, I’ll eventually consider investing in a nicer one that has the additional features I mentioned. Overall, he had a good first experience with it. I’m excited to see the moment he realizes he can run full speed without being held back by a leash.

This is a little too small for our dog. It fits in the front but not the hips- just barely too small. Too expensive to return so beware. We will try to sell it. Would NOT recommend and it’s really not worth what they’re asking.

this is a high quality product. super sturdy and safe. after working with my dog a few times on the treadmill he now trusts it and has learned what needs to be done. if you have a energetic dog, or just a dog that needs to shed a few pounds, this is the item you need. it allows the dog to run as fast as they want and for as long as they want, without you yourself losing your breath.

It's not an inexpensive piece of equipment so imagine my surprise and dismay to already have slats breaking after only two months!Pawpaw was generous enough to have two extra slats in the box, however, I am now desperately seeking more replacement slats for the next time.I tried contacting them thru their on-line chat portal, but apparently no one actually mans it since I have been trying for days. There is no listings anywhere for replacements on their site.Hopefully their corporate email gives me a response. If so, I will update.UPDATEThe company responded quickly to my email and sent me a QR code to pay for replacement slats.

We've had this machine for a month and have been working with our dogs several times a week on it. If you've trained your dogs to loose-leash walk (so when they are on a leash, they don't pull), this isn't for you. Our dogs know that they aren't supposed to pull on a leash, but to get this to work, they have to pull against the leash to create the resistance to spin the tread. So, when they start to feel that pressure, they stop pulling. It makes it so none of them and really successfully use the machine. If you're dogs a puller, then they might like it, but if they are trained not to pull, this machine will really confuse them because now you want them to pull against the leash. The belt of the treadmill is stiff and inconsistent. Half a rotation is easy for it to spin and half is tough like it is binding on something. We have 3 dogs (12 to 15 lbs) and we've been moving the belt with our hands to let them know it's ok to walk on. When it's at the tough section, it stops like a break on a bicycle. We put blocks under the front of it to give it an incline and that helped. It's really noisy and the noise scares one of our dogs so she won't use it. There is also no harness included, so you need to provide your own.
