I needed an LPT port to build out a CNC Router using either Mach 3 or LinuxCNC.Since I long ago tossed every computer with a physical LPT port I decided to try this one because of the price and because it supports the modes that are needed to properly connect a CNC Motion Board (SPP/PS2/EPP/ECP). I have installed this card in three different ports in two different computers. Both had completely updated Windows 10. Both systems can detect the card but it assigns it as an Unknown Serial Device. Windows update and an internet driver update failed to install a driver so I used a freshly installed/updated Win 10 drive and tried every single driver that came on the disk. None of them worked. I also couldn't get it working in a LinuxCNC install BUT that could be a configuration error still. Since I was having issues in Linux I figured I would try Windows just to verify basic functionality of the card in case I was troubleshooting a DOA board. At this point I have given up. I actually discovered that my old computer does have an LPT Port header on the MB even though it didn't have an external connector. So instead of trying another LPT card I just ordered a $4 connector plate to install into the computer. Since this only cost $12 it wasn't worth digging the box out the trash to return. I will just throw it in the parts bin for now.

There were no Windows 7 drivers available for this card. It's not worth the low cost.

It took me 4 hours to figure out how to get this to work, there are numerous drivers on this disc for other devices, and I cant even tell you how I got it to work its that confusing and I have 20 years of IT experience.
