I'm 5'9" 200lbs with very athletic legs, big "cycling" calves, the XL size fits great, nice and warm for temps around 50 to me.

Great knee warmers 50 and below. Around 55 with sun they start getting too warm. But then that’s why you buy warmers-easy to take off and stow in you jersey pocket.
