Literally pour the wax into a container, stick in the wick and light it!While floating it on water does work and look really interesting, drying the wax out afterward is tedious. This sand wax works with placing the wax over hydrated colore polymer water crystals. You will be more successful if you place a barrier between the crystals and the wax. This is a great alternative to regular candles for temporary placement-like a party. Create a multi-wicked candle and let it burn for hours and then remove the wicks, put the same wax in multiple containers with new wicks and light again. Adding essential oils to the wax after it had begun melting did not produce much scent. After you are done, just pour the wax back in the bag and store it for later. No cleaning out candle residue from old containers. Be mindful of your use of containers- they should be straight sided or the wick may not burn properly and it will be difficult to remove from the container. Bowls are better than wine glasses and clear is better than solid.

I bought this for craft night with the kids. Since some of the kids are rather young, I thought this was a good alternative to melted wax. It's a very quick and easy craft that turns out really well. The kit also includes wicks so all you need is heat safe containers and you are ready to go.

This sand was super fun to make a candle with. I had a Oui yogurt jar sitting around that I was saving to reuse, so just poured this in there and added a wick and had a working candle in less than five minutes. Only complaint is the black color it leaves on your hands and everything it touches. You will get a little messy with this but it comes off with soap. Also, the Oui jar did end up being the perfect height. The wicks provided are pretty short and didn’t end up letting the wax burn all the way through, so for a different candle you’d need a different wick. There’s no scent to this which is great for me because my boyfriend is sensitive to smell, but we love the ambiance of a candle. Overall it was amazingly quick and I’ll be using this all the time.

Seems to work just like other pearl candles, and it doesn't have a strong scent. It is suitable to use in tealight tins as an alternative to tea lights when heating wax seals. There are plenty of wicks, but it's also compatible with whatever kind of wick you like. It's a little tricky to get the hang of the right height for the wick, but luckily you can adjust it easily after putting the wick out and not waste your candle.
