Easy to apply, hope it holds up. My faucet is very close to the wall, had a problem with water affecting the tile and gout. I have tried mats around the faucet but water still got under them. This looks so much cleaner and easier to keep clean!

Great product but don't be fooled, you need to caulk the top and bottom to ensure proper water proofing. Just sticking this onto something will surely allow water behind or underneath. The tape is only going to keep it secured to what you stick it onto.

Okay here we go. The entirety of our kitchen counter with the sink slopes to the back, which is normal. I wish for a handel pull down kitchen faucet, but with a standard high arc faucet that has a filter attached, the clearance for washing dishes is minimal. This causes splashing and spraying. Add this to the caulking job behind the sink being more of a smear, water pools and drains to the left and right of the faucet/sink area.I was hoping to use this spash guard and with an extra inch or so on each side to follow around the sink edge and catch the water going left and right. As noted, there is a chanel for the caulk bead for the intersection of the wall/counter. If the caulking is funky or missing, like at our rental place, there's a good chance of water getting behind this guard and thats would be counter productive. So this idea won't work. The best I could do is remove the half funky caulking behind the sink and reapply/fill, to lift the less than 1/2 inch behind the sink to level with the sink. I then filled the chanel on this splash guard and set it in place. With the area behind the sink level with the sink, I was able to wrap an inch on each side to follow the sink contour and stop the left right flow of water. Will this last. We shall have to wait and see. Also, me not being the only user of the sink this lip on each side may just be too much of an inconvenience to not knock into because you'd have to raise your hand/item a whole 1/2 inch. Sarcasm aside lets see how sticky this sticky stuff is. Time will tell.

Save your money, it does not work. At the slightest exposure to water, it unsticks. It blends nicely with the back of the sink, it’s unobtrusive, tucks neatly behind the faucet - it just doesn’t stay in place and loses grip at the slightest hint of water, which defeats the whole purpose of using it.

This peel and stick silicone splash guard was a perfect fit to fill the space behind the back of our kitchen sink and the vertical Formica "wall" behind. There has been a small flat area of Formica counter behind the back rim of the sink and the wall where water and soap would accumulate to form an ugly mess. The 2.5cm width of the base of this strip was an almost perfect fit to the gap. It has sealed the back of the sink and completely eliminated the water or soap accumulation in this area. Most of the effort into installing this splash guard went into cleaning up the surfaces behind the rim of the sink so that there would be good adhesion. The silicone strip was easily cut to match the width of the sink and given 45 degree end contours using a box cutter razor blade. The notch in the rear corner of the splash guard provided enough space to straddle a preexisting line of caulking that sealed the joint where the small flat area of formica countertop behind the rim of the sink meets the vertical Formica wall. After the splash guard was sealingly in place behind the rim of the sink,, there were a few very small gaps that were easily filled using white silicone caulk. White silicone calk matches the color and texture of the splash guard and, because it is essentially the same material,, it adheres well and becomes and extension of the base material. In summary, this silicone splash guard is easily cut to size and applied,, adheres well, and any gaps can be easily,, invisibly,, and effectively filled using a monomeric white silicone chemistry caulking material.
