I own a Traeger and I’m one of those guys who cleans out the hopper in between smokes. I grew tired of the pellets spilling out into my bucket and found this product on Amazon. Now, the pellets no longer spill out onto the ground. The magnets keep it stable and they clear out quickly. It’s easy to use and I’m glad I found it.

It's a simple way to get your pellets out and works well. The magnets aren't that strong so it moves when the pellets are coming out sometimes.

The chute works fine but the magnets need to be stronger, I used it to release the pellets from the grill and it slid while emptying I bought stronger magnets to hold it in place,

It works almost as advertised, but is better than the first one I bought which was missing magnets that were attached with little nuts. This chute does work and helps get those pellets back into your container when you need to do that. I only gave this a 3 star rating because although it does what it's intended to do, it needs a couple of improvements. I like the idea of the magnets being pressed and glued into the attachment flanges...no screws or nuts to loose, and a tight seal to the hopper. The problem is after being installed, the magnets are painted over with the same protective coating as the chute, which reduces the magnet strength. I scraped all of the paint off the magnets and it does hold better. You can also secure a small screw into the hopper through a hole in the bottom flange which will help too. The other problem is that the chute is still too short. You can't just put your pellet storage pail down and walk away while it empties. The container still has to be held up over top of the wheel to position it properly under the chute (if that's where your wheels are, like mine they're on the frame legs beneath the hopper). Otherwise, you will spill pellets. Could be longer. All that said, it still is very helpful in getting the pellets out of the hopper without a major mess on your deck or the ground. I still recommend it, just be aware of the design deficiencies. RV
