I needed a tripod/selfie stick for an upcoming trip, and this looked like the perfect combination. It's a compact selfie stick/monopod as-is, but a screw-in set of legs turns it into a tripod when you need it to stand on its own. The locking mechanism is nice and simple to use - just pull out the section and twist it a quarter turn. No rings to screw in, just a couple of twists and you're set up. It's pretty stable, and very solidly built. Recommended.
