I use this for handles, 2 layers works nice, for my sewing projects. Can be used for anything that needs a bit of stiffness. I would suggest to avoid using it where you have a drawstring.

This is a sturdier interfacing than most clothing calls for. I use it for bags and hat brims when I want them to be stiffer.Keep in mind that this is NOT fusible interfacing. You will have to sew it in or use a basting spray. When I make quilted bags like the one in the photo, I have three layers - my patchwork fabric, a layer of batting, and a layer of interfacing. I either pin together or use basting spray and then machine quilt it. Turns out quite nice and the bag will maintain its shape well. If you want stiffer, use two layers.

Although I love supporting my local quilt shop, sometimes they are out of something I need or they don't carry it. I love that Amazon has just about anything I need and at great prices. And you sure can't beat prime shipping and having it delivered right to your front door. No need to travel for miles or fight traffic. Shapeflex is one of the most used stabilizers for bag making. I love the weight it gives fabrics but the fact that it still has great drapeability is wonderful. It is a woven interfacing so like a second layer of a lightweight fabric. Great for keeping your cotton fabrics smooth when you add on a stiffer interfacing as well. I have tried to add on pellon to a cotton fabric and it was all rippled without the shapeflex.

I like the Pellon 101 because it’s easy to use and holds up well.

This stuff is perfect for my t-shirt quilts. The fact that it's woven means you can use a hotter iron on this than you can with a lot of fusible interfacings. Since most t-shirts have emblems that cannot be ironed directly, this is the best stuff I have used. I highly recommend it.

I used it for a tee-shirt queen size quilt. This fabric work very nice to stabalize the stretchy knit fabric of the tee-shirts. The only thing I disliked was this fabric broke loose from the edges when sewing the blocks together. Over all I liked the fabric very much.

I prefer Pellon SF101f for interior lining for my bags and totes. Gives fabric body but not too stiff. Good service from supplier. Product clean and well packaged. Will buy again.
