I am the school librarian. Every student receives their own accelerated reader folder with their library bar code and reading/testing logs inside. The student jams these in their desk. Puts their books inside their folder. They are in these folders 10-20Xs a week. They are always opening and closing them. They do not treat them well and they have to last the whole year. I have used the lower quality folders in the past and spend a lot of time repairing them throughout the year. This year my principal let me spend $ for these thicker, higher quality, and spine reinforced folders. I am hopeful they will hold up til the last day of school. If so I will be buying these from now on.
