I had spinal surgery last month and the surgeon's orders are to walk as much as possible. With a stretch of winter temperatures in the teens, my fingertips were always cold, despite my lined, leather gloves and other insulated gloves as well. I decided to invest in mittens like these because I can quickly expose my fingertips to use my phone and ITunes player. When I received these gloves, I didn't use them because they were so light and thin that I figured my fingers would freeze. How wrong I was! A few days ago, I used them. The ambient temperature was 12-degrees F with a steady north wind. These mittens kept my fingertips toasty warm. The dead air spaces within the weave did the trick. Incredibly lightweight and warm. Not waterproof, mind you--but I am so satisfied my fingers no longer freeze on long walks when the chill winds howl.

These fit well and feel warm while outside. Being able to unclover finger tips, to use equipment and tools while keep hands warm is great. They do not feel too bulky--surprising.

Purchased these gloves in an L/XL “Harding Taupe†color to replace an ancient set of convertible mittens that were shot. These gloves are flat out beautiful with wonderful color, nice tight knit and a lovely feel on your hand. The design of the gloves for conversion from fingerless to mitten is an improvement on my prior convertibles. I normally wear an XL glove and this L/XL fit me just right. Now to my quibbles. First, there are little knit end loops that attach to buttons to hold the mitten portions back when not is use. They are placed appropriately so the mitten portions lie fairly flat when not in use. The problem is with the loop that goes over the button to secure them. They are small in diameter and difficult to get over the buttons. When the gloves first arrived I had to take my time but managed to secure the loop to the button on my left hand, but failed totally with the right hand which had a slightly smaller sized loop. I returned this set and obtained a replacement set. Same problem. Secondly, while these gloves are remarkably attractive, well made and feel wonderful on your hands, i am skeptical that will survive long if I use them in any sort of demanding way. I have chosen to keep and use them in non demanding situations. My Wife’s fingernails are overcoming the button loop issue (she threatened to steal the gloves for herself before she would let me send them back).

These are DRY CLEAN ONLY and they are GLOVES. They are also outsourced to China for manufacturing. I expected an American made product that I could actually wash

Fingerless style covers most of my fingers. I have pretty long fingers, so if you have short stubby fingers they might be a little long in the fingers. For me they were perfect. This style works great for typing on your phone but you still get pretty decent coverage. Recommend.

The small size would only fit a woman or a child. The large size is perfect for my medium-sized male hands. The colors are outstanding. The fingerless aspect looks great and allows you to use your phone's touch screen or type on a keyboard.
