It's analog so nothing that can really malfunction, it's pretty easy to read, and the accuracy is good, worth the purchase, but be warned they are fragile, one broke just removing it from the rim of my tank and the replacement I ordered came in broken, didn't bother returning it since it was more of a hassle to drive 20min and stand in line for $6 bucks, ordered a new one today, fingers crossed it's not broken

I’m always planning for power outages or equipment malfunctions and usually find that the simplest technology is the best choice. Nothing to worry about with this old school thermometer! Mine shows an accurate temp at a glance.

This item came broken and it has s a non-returnable item and it does not give me an option to get a refund. Very disappointing!!

These old School thermometers are acurate and react quickly to changing temps. Have a nice and easy safe zone from most tropical fish. Downsides are the metal hook part may not fit your rim of your tank if it's wider than a 20 gal. It can break (it's glass) so I wouldn't use it for rough & tumble cichlids.

Was so glad to see these old school thermometers. Some old school things are still the best! I bought several of these and all seem accurate especially compared to some of the digital ones I had.
