I have been using the Everpure H-300 Water Filter for the past year and I am extremely impressed with its performance. The filter is designed to remove impurities and improve the taste and odor of my water. One of the things I appreciate most about this filter is the improvement in the flavor of my water. Since installing the filter, I have noticed a significant reduction in chlorine and other impurities, which has resulted in a much cleaner and fresher taste. The filter also effectively removed the unpleasant smell of chlorine. Another great feature of this filter is its longevity. The filter lasts up to 11 months, which is much longer than other filters I have used in the past. This means that I don't have to replace the filter as often, which helps to save me money in the long run. Overall, I highly recommend the Everpure H-300 Water Filter for anyone looking to improve the taste and odor of their water. The filter's ability to remove impurities, its longevity, and its affordable price make it an excellent value for money.

I've been using the EverPure H-300 filter for three years now, and I am on my fourth filter. I have it mounted under my kitchen sink, where it dispenses from its own faucet. It's a large filter, so I had to make sure the cabinet under the sink was set up properly to accommodate it. Once the system was all set up, it was great. The filter itself is easy to change. I just twist the old one off and twist the new one on. It takes me about five minutes, and that's only because I have to get awkwardly inside my under-sink cabinet. To give you an idea of how long the filter lasts, my family of five uses the filtered water for drinking and cooking, but not for things like washing dishes. Given that amount of usage, each filter has lasted 10-11 months. It comes with a timer to indicate when the filter should be replaced, but I've been ignoring that. I wait until the water pressure starts to get lower, and then I replace it.As far as what it filters out, this is a good choice compared to Brita or other pitcher type filters. As others have mentioned, it does reduce the amount of lead in the water. If you really want to get everything out of your water, you need to get something like a reverse osmosis system. That can be expensive and has its own downsides, so I haven't gone that route.

I have been using this brand of filter for years now because it provides me with drinking water as good or better than bottled water for a lower cost. Even after three years of use, the water tastes a lot better than tap and I have not seen the reduction in flow rate that others have reported. My only complaint is that a couple of times the replacement cartridges have been defective in that they produced water containing fine black particles of filter material making the water cloudy. This happened with my most recent order. I also noticed a sound of rushing air when I removed the protective cap and a lot of black residue on the o-rings and plastic fitting. The manufactures tech support confirmed that this should not happen and that it may have been caused by the cartridge accidentally being evacuated, possibly by being transported in an unpressurized cargo hold of a plane. When the cap was removed letting the air rush back in, this could have caused the internal membranes to rupture. If this should happen to you, just contact Amazon for a no cost replacement, but you will have to return the bad cartridge using Amazon supplied prepaid mailer. The manufacturer (now PENTAIR) also told me they would replace it for free without having to return the bad cartridge.

A solid filtration system that was easy to install with little leakage during installation. It is fairly tall so you need space under the sink to install. The price of the filter has increased substantially in the past few years so it is expensive. The water does taste clear and refreshing so it seems worth the cost.

My wife and I moved into a new place in Southern California. The water is known for not being pure and most every household either buys water in bottled form or has a filtration system installed. I was impressed that it had what I thought was a good Everpure system already installed and maintained by a professional company.I could tell by the time stamp that it was time to changed the filter but before doing so I ordered water testing equipment through Amazon. I tested for chemicals and used a TDS detector. The tests revealed that the water just made the grade and was safe to drink, though close to the failing point for salt levels. The TDS detector revealed a high level of contamination of 495ppm. I read where anything over 500ppm is not recommended to drink and could be down right unhealthy at 1000ppm.Using that as a baseline for tap water, I tested bottled water from a spring which came in at 120ppm. Just remember that pure drinking water will have no recordable solids in it (but that's just a pipe dream unless you drink distilled). After putting the filter in, the ppm in the water dropped to 358. Not the best but I read that most tap water (unfiltered) is around 350ppm (this was only from one source however). I felt OK, not pure, but doable. Unfortunately, that was the last time it was ever that low since that time. Its been less than 3 weeks and still early into its life expectancy, the average read is now in the mid 440's. Considering that the filter touts a .5 micron filter level, this truly was a disappointmentI removed the filter and reinstalled it thinking that I put it in wrong but the readings did not change. It was a waste of time and money. We are now back on bottled water that tests at 30ppm. Buyer beware!

works great, but you have to make sure to have a sediment filter installed. Otherwise, if your water source output a blast of sediments, it will clog in less than a day.
