It has 1/2" male ports with epdm valves and a santoprene diaphragm. It is an on demand pump and is N.S.F. listed. It is typically use in potable water applications. Self primes up to 9' vertically

I replaced my leaky 3.5gpm pump with this 1.1gpm. When water conservation is of utmost importance, this pump is a source solution. On-demand = energy conservation, and it helped me ferret out drip-leaks, that were causing unseen water damage, that I didn't know I had. I am well satisfied with this product.
