I have these on an LS engine that has hard mounts to the frame. This may be why the gaskets don't last. They are mounted at the end of the header. The holes oval quickly so i just may try to make them out of regular aluminum instead. I took the new gasket and made a template already. The annealed aluminum would be good if you have a flange that is not flat.

If your regular paper gaskets seal perfectly but just blow out over time then these are for you. If your paper gaskets don't seal perfectly because the flange has imperfections or has warped even a tiny amount these will not seal. I have one side where the flange is warped a tiny amount and a thick paper gasket will seal but these won't. They are too hard to compress that much. When I remove them their is no noticeable compression mark so I guess the term "dead soft" is relative.

Package arrived with only one gasket. Another is on the way, but someone is a thief. These gaskets work great. I used a set for close to 20 years on Sanderson headers and had them on and off the car, and now on a truck. They never leaked after multiple uses. Gaskets are 5 star, sales is 2 stars. Now down to 1 star. The replacement package had a gasket missing again. Maybe remove your cranium from your rectum for the third attempt.

This is a great idea however the soft aluminum is not soft enough. I tighten my collectors down with an 18" breaker bar and all it did was bend the 3/8" thick flanges at the corners. After straightening the flanges paper gaskets sealed it 100%. I do not recommend this product.
