I've used this adapter on an 18-inch breaker bar to break the bolt loose off of my car's starter. I also used it to tighten the bolts back to 55 lb-ft. of torque and it held up just fine.I could be wrong but I wouldn't trust this on jobs that require 150 lb-ft. or more force applied to it. Even so, you're better off saving yourself some money by buying this adapter rather than a set of sockets each for both the 1/2 and 3/8 drives.

Have used this at least a dozen times with my new 3/8 M12 stubby and it shows no wear. I will probably lose it before I wear it out.

In my opinion, this is nicer and less expensive than the ones at the tool outlets. So unless you need one right this instant, buy this one and it'll be delivered in a day or so.

I keep a steel ammo box in my truck. It contains a set of common size SAE and metric wrenches. It also contains a 3/8" drive ratchet and one set of 3/8" SAE sockets and one set of metric sockets. The box is large enough to also contain several sets of nut drivers, torx bits, screwdriver bits and 1/4" sockets. By adding this set of extensions and adapters, I am able to configure and leverage these tools to do much more than they were intended to do as dedicated single purpose tool sets. Oh, I also left out a couple of kinds of locking pliers which are also indispensable. Get yourself a standard size ammo box. You will be amazed at how many useful mechanics tools you can pack into it. You'll have to dump out the contents whenever you need to find a particular tool but sets of tools in plastic container with each attachment in its own space won't do you any good if the assortment doesn't have the tool you need. Figure out what you might need beforehand and customize your own "bug out" set of emergency repair tools. These are quality tools. They are equal to and in some cases superior to other better advertised brands.

Great for what I needed it for. 130ft/lbs .. haven’t broke yet .. dreading the day it does. Overall great product and if needed will buy again.
