I purchased for my 6mo as his other hats have become too small. I got the 6-1mo size and they fit his head like a glove! Very thick for the colder weather ( I live in Chicago) and can even fit over his ears! They stay in place but aren’t uncomfortable for him. I love them and the cute little ears so I’ll be buying more in the colors we don’t have! A must buy for cooler days!

**Updated Review**After washing and drying on medium heat, the hat has shrunken enough to fit a Premie-sized baby. So happy he can wear this to help keep his head warm. The hat is very soft and fits nicely over head and ears.Ordered this cute hat specifically because it offered a Premie size for my small grandbaby. Unfortunately, the hat is 0-12 month and way too big. Will keep it for later, but it doesn't meet the needs now.

The material is a tighter knit than traditional hospital hats, so it doesn't have as much stretch. The quality seems amazing and they feel like they'll be pretty warm! The sizing is shorter and wider than a traditional newborn hat, so I'd recommend premie for a true to size "newborn" fit, but I would definitely buy again.
