I had so much problems with my bird cage setup, with constant mess, waste, not enough water and food for trips. I already got a large feeder and decided to get this waterer, and I just installed it. It is great for my new idea of a setup to avoid waste and mess and needless constant cleanup! It fit just fine between the wires, the installation was easy, the included stick was perfect for a perch next to the waterer. This will now be my go-to everyday waterer and I will save the cage open waterer just for trips, since it was always such a mess. I am so happy my birds will have constant fresh water now!

This is a tough product to judge because I don't believe there is a better alternative. I love that it's a free-flow system and that the opening is small enough to greatly reduce the odds of birds pooping in it (my budgie never did). My bird actually really likes this waterer. This is difficult to remove from a cage to clean. The bottom part that you push through the cage/wire fits very tightly on my cage so removing that piece is quite difficult and you need to clean this regularly. If this wasn't so difficult to remove I would recommend it. If you purchase and want to ensure the bird is actually using it (the water stays much cleaner so it's hard to tell) attach a millet stick/twig right next to the water. Mine kept drinking water after eating the millet so there were little bits in there which helped me verify that she was drinking. Once you confirm this, move the millet farther away and the water stays pretty clean. For possible bacteria reasons it needs to be changed and washed regularly.

Our cockatiel has a bad habit of perching on her water bowl overnight and using it as a toilet, which is gross and unsanitary for her. We needed a better option to ensure she has fresh water all the time. This water dispenser is a great alternative! The opening at the base is big enough for her to comfortably drink without getting her beak too deeply into the water, and the layout allows her to perch on the base if she really wants to, but makes it very difficult for her to manage to get poop in the water. I am so glad that we found this dispenser! Our cockatiel was a little annoyed with us for swapping out her water bowl, but she has adapted well and we feel much better about the cleanliness of the water and her ability to drink safely at any time.

The narrow neck helps keep the birds from making soup. The metal bolt for attachment is good and seems durable, though it hasn't been in use long enough to really test yet. The perch that comes with it is short but it's nice and nubbly to keep birdy feet happy. All in all, a good water dispenser for a small bird. Larger birds it won't last long as the capacity is small.

This bird cage water dispenser is overall quite practical. It’s easy to install, and the automatic water supply feature makes it convenient, ensuring the bird always has water to drink, saving the trouble of refilling every day. However, the capacity is a bit small, so if you have a bird that drinks a lot, you may need to refill it often. Overall, it’s a good choice with decent value for money.
