These are great mats for my purpose. I use them for feeding squirrels and birds on elevated surfaces on my patio. They won't eat out of a dish. However, the mats act like a large flexible plate and don't slide around.

I just needed a floor protector for under my dog's water bucket. This one has nicely raised edges that DON'T flop inward or outward. It holds its shape nicely. I use the second one to go under my humidifier that is on carpet for leak insurance.

I bought a similar item and returned it because the silicone was flimsy and shapeless. This item has high quality silicone and has some nice body to it, it's not flimsy at all. I like the color and design too.
