Our 2000 model truck has old cracked Peterson M343A Amber Side Marker Light from the factory.This appeared to be the exact same part and it pretty much was, except for the wiring exit location. On our original light, the wires came straight out of the center of the light and that fits the hole in out truck's body for the wiring. On this light, the wire come out off to the side, in back, and therefore don't easily go into the hole that's there for the wires. It would be nice if Amazon showed photos of the back of the fixture and it's wires. I had to compress the wire to make it all work and it did eventually work.
