I have purchased three of these so far. The first two for a very large male Maine Coon cat (my cat), and the other one for a very TINY, FEMALE Siamese (my 98 year old mother's cat) who must just back up to the back wall and just let go! The high back is a life saver...for the cats! Keeps any wayward urine inside the cat box instead of leaking out over the edge and creating even more stink. Couldn't even tell you how old my first one was, before the base became brittle and finally cracked. I scrub out the Maine Coon's every week, use liners for my Mom's cat's box, and scrub out every 2-3 weeks. Could not find this size in either of the big box pet stores, so searched WAY BACK to find the brand I purchased years ago for my big boy. And I'd definitely buy again!

The cat box is great. The swinging door on the hood is broken when I received it my cats don’t use it so I just leave it off, but it needs to be made better on that portion.

The door is a problem. I had to put wax on the connector tips to get it to move, otherwise it was stuck in the open position. When my 9 pound cat goes in, the door remains resting on his back while he’s in there. There’s no room for the door to go down while he’s in it. If your cat would have a problem with a plastic door on its back while doing business in there, this won’t work for you. My cat is very elderly so I don’t think he realizes it’s on his back. He did go in and immediately do his business and since the door was open, he easily left it. I bought this specifically because I wanted a door to keep his urine inside because he doesn’t squat, so this probably won’t work well for us. You will have to grease the pegs that hold the door on if you want it to move at all easily though because it will get stuck in an open position. The picture shows how it gets stuck open.

This is a piece of junk! I'm sending it back, otherwise I might as well bury my money in the box itself. Too small, door hinges broken, no latches to secure top to bottom. Just terrible.

Cheap made. Hard to remove top lid to clean. Also had to rig door flap because it wouldn’t stay on. Highly disappointed

Please pay attention to the dimensions of this box relative to the size of your cat. This box works for my small-framed kitty, but it’s a tight fit. I have to scoop it twice a day or their isn’t enough room for her to keep using it. If you have a medium-large cat, or don’t want to scoop often, consider a larger box. The door flap is useless on a box this small because once it’s pushed inward there’s no room for the cat in the box. It isn’t necessary and it pops off easily.That said, it is sturdy, easy to clean, and the filter on top seems to work well as I can only smell anything if she’s gone very recently and the smell doesn’t linger.

This was a great find! Lots of room and easier for my cat to step into, easy to clean, takes up allot less space and my kitty loves it! Absolutely recommended!

Sirve, pero la verdad es que no cierra bien y el agarre de la puerta está super mal, tuve que quitar la puerta porque se caÃa todo el tiempo, no embona bien. Pero pues ya qué, al menos sirve para tener la arena adentro, pero no lo volverÃa a comprar
